You might see 3DARK.com as one of the Internet's most popular and most respected 3D resources and think to yourself that we've got it all worked out. You might think that 3D ARK will be around forever. And you might just think we don't need your support (or that your support won't make a difference). I'm here to tell you that we not only hope for your support, we depend on it. Building and maintaining this resource has been a genuine struggle. If you truly believe that the entirely volunteered hard work and time that has gone into making 3D ARK what it is should be rewarded and encouraged, please help. We're not asking for money, your first born, or your stamp collection. We're simply asking you to look at the following list and if something inspires you or if you feel like you could help, please do so. We would really appreciate it, and yes, it will make a difference. Thank you. Ways in which you can help support 3D ARK...  1. Try visiting 3D ARK and members of the 3D-ALLIANCE more often. How about making 3D ARK or a member of the 3D-ALLIANCE the startup page on your browser (or other people's browsers!)? With new links daily, 3D-SITES.3dark.com might be a good choice...2. Got a web site? Why not show your support by creating a link to 3DARK.com and other members of the 3D-ALLIANCE on your web site. If you wish, we also have special 3D ARK banners and icons for you to use.3. Have you noticed any 3D related sites (both commercial and personal) that do not have a link to 3D ARK (or any members of the 3D-ALLIANCE)? Why not tell the webmaster about 3D ARK and how much their link to it would be appreciated.4. Why not share our URL with your friends (even the ones who are not 3D artists!), teachers, and coworkers? Chances are, they may know someone who might be interested. Even if they're not interested in 3D ARK's, they may very well be interested in our links to a multitude of sites containing excellent CG artwork.5. Have you got 3D ARK book marked at work or on your school's computers? If people use that machine, others may come across the site. You might even consider making it the startup page.6. Why not post the URL on a community or school bulletin board and other places?7. Tape the URL to your dorm room window and have it face outward for others to see. Take a picture and we'll post it here!8. Submit 3D related links to 3D-SITES.3dark.com and encourage others to add their own.9. If you have contact with the makers of any of the 3D related software or hardware that you use, you might mention 3DARK.com and how they might promote their products on our network. We can always use additional advertisers.10. How about putting our URL in your email signature? That would be cool!11. If you plan on buying a 3D related book (or any book, CD, DVD, or even video) in the future, you might consider purchasing this item through us at Amazon.com. You can do so by visiting the books resource section on this site. 3D ARK makes a very small percentage of the sales of all Amazon.com products sold to people who click on our links to Amazon.com. Any revenue generated this way is put back into maintaining this site.12. In an arrangement similar to the above, 3D ARK has an associates account with 3D software and hardware provider, Safe Harbor. If you plan on purchasing any 3D related products, plug-ins, or even hardware, you might consider doing so by following special links to Safe Harbor on our web site. These are located in resources section under 3D related products.13.You can even support 3D ARK by filling the roles of any of our current 3D ARK Job Opportunities. These include content providers, graphic artists, and more.14. Follow the computer graphics related news groups? Are you on any mailing lists? You can help us out by bringing our attention to any information in messages or message threads that would make a good addition to the 3D ARK archives. Certainly if you write something yourself that you feel is informative and might benefit a much larger audience than it was originally intended for, we would be very happy if you would give us permission to add your post to our archives.15. Hey! Mention the site and network on mailing lists and in news groups. That would help!16. Know what else...? You can also help us think of more ways that people can help support 3D ARK. In fact, we even accept outrageous or zany ideas. Those who act upon them and have pictures taken can have them posted on 3D ARK. ;)
