AM3D is popular and highly regarded interactive discussion list for in-depth 3D art and animation analysis. AM3D consists of over 450 highly creative people and some of the hottest computer graphics artists pushing the envelope of 3D technology today.
AM3D has earned an excellent reputation among its subscribers by helping to raise the standard of excellence in 3D artists of all skill levels.
This list allows you to take an active role by exposing your work for analysis or offering constructive criticism concerning other people's work. Or, if you don't feel your skills are up to par or have nothing to offer, you can simply sit back, read, and just learn.
AM3D is frequented by artists of all skill levels, from hobbyists to professionals (from animation studios to computer gaming companies), from novices to the elite.
AM3D not only exposes you to private showings of great works-in-progress, it also gives you the opportunity to shape the future of these works by offering feedback to the artists. | |  |

A typical post to AM3D consists of:
Subject Header: As descriptive (but concise) as possible
MESSAGE BODY:
1. An introduction of the artist (at least first time posters)
2. Some background information concerning the artwork that the artist wishes to have analyzed (software used, artistic goals, render time, etc).
3. A link (url) to the individual still or animation.
4. Questions or advice sought concerning the work.
A typical thread on AM3D consists of:
1. Constructive criticism concerning the work presented.
2. Ways in which certain artistic obstacles (in relation to the artwork presented, if they apply) can be overcome.
3. The sharing of advice.
As of Sept 1, 1999, this list had over 450 subscribers of all skill levels and areas of the industry. |
